Food wins. It’s simple.
When you’re looking online… reading sites like t-nation, bodybuilding, etc… they all emphasize the importance of nutrition. They go over it again and again and again. But, if anyone’s like me, when I started training 5 years ago, it all washed over me. How can eating more during a day facilitate the gains that I want? I see those guys at the gym – the gym’s where I make my gains.
Well, the last 6 weeks have completely transformed my interpretation of body building. In fact, body building’s the perfect way to call it! Because you are building your body up over time… training implies the gym, exercise implies the gym, cardio, working out. But body building – implies you need those foundational building blocks.
I have to admit, while I’m nowhere near my end point, from what I’m learning now about 80% (or more) of my effort goes on nutrition. The other 20% (or less) goes into the actual training. As long as you maintain form, feel the burn, your results are forthcoming.
In fact, I’d even go as far to suggest that nutrition makes me focus even more on form. I no longer struggle for gains. I see them plain and simple. So I don’t need to kill myself by pushing weights over my limit, or doing insane numbers of reps. I focus on what’s best for my body. What feels good and right. Knowing that I’m working the muscles, and the muscles have all they need to succeed.
Can you tell I’m having a good time???
