First off – may I say just how much I dislike lunges. Fuck. They’re painful!!! Especially when you’re still aching from the previous day. Wow.
But, you can feel the burn, so it’s not all bad!
Today was another really good day at the gym – I got through my routine in record time – about 35-45 mins. I feel that’s too short, but given that this week is a warm-up, it’s probably a good amount of time.
It’s funny – I tried to start back at the gym about a month ago, and lasted about a week and a half. At the time, it just didn’t feel right. Today I was walking around the gym on one of my rest breaks, and was enjoying the burn, the rush, the endorphins. I was psyched to be doing it again… and unlike a month ago, I could see myself sticking with it.
As much as the gym is artificial, so are our lives. And as much as I’d love to do ‘natural’ exercise, life just doesn’t facilitate that. So this is my means of ‘Being Healthy’ – one of my current goals in life. And the fact it’s horny cos I have help from others, and I’ll be growing… all the better… the more motivation the better.
