So I’ve made it – the first week is over and done with… and I’m thoroughly surprised at some of the things I’ve learned…
I was sitting on my sofa last night, top off (the stomach wasn’t a pretty sight), but I could see a bit more definition on the arms. Yeah – I know, it’s only been a week, but I swear it’s there. Not really any size, but definition – I could see bumps
The only reason I can think of this happening is to match what I was doing last year – like 8 months ago :s Who knows.
Skin is a clearing out a lot… normal colour is coming back, it’s a more healthy tint. Spots are disappearing. Think that’s got a lot to do with getting rid of all the junk food, having something to focus on (be motivated by), the wheatgrass, multivitamins… in general, just a much better mix of food, drinks, and exercise.
Motivation is still strong – even though I’ve gotten tired this week. Friday was psyched to go in to the gym, but didn’t have the fervour of Monday. Will have to take this into consideration next week – do less in a week! Spend more focus on rest, recovery.
Now for the weirdest thing – I just measured my weight at the gym – and I measured 195 lbs! That’s 3 lbs up from Sunday of last week. I’m not sure what to make of that. I can’t imagine that’s 100% muscle… but since I don’t have a body fat monitor, I can’t tell what’s fat and what’s muscle. I’m thinking that I should get one of those :s
My concern is that as of next week – I’m going to push myself even harder at the gym, but also push up my calorie count by about 500-800 a day (I’m not having the casein, protein bar or the big meat at lunch :s). Hmmm. I guess we’ll see how that goes – and track appropriately :s
But I have no doubt that I’ve created some muscle as part of it… so that’s got my psyched too :s Guys – you need to come back from holiday so I can run this all by ya! Fuck
