Day Five

Still going really strong!!!

Last night was out with two friends… for a wine night. But I was good – out of 3 bottles, I think I managed to only have about 1/2 a bottle, and left at 10, so was in bed by a reasonable time. Wasn’t in the best headspace for working out this morning, but pushed through and did a reasonable job.

It’s true to say that I’m really feeling the aches now… I’m somewhat concerned that I pushed too hard this week – fitting in two weeks of light workouts into one. Especially with canoeing for 3 days this weekend (which reminds me – I need to take a lot of protein with me – shakes and bars to compensate for the canoeing).

But – you know what – I’m going to have to go through these aches anyway sooner or later… so it’s good to compact it. And it’s all good. Feels good to be working it again :) Sweet!!!!

UPDATE

I’m really impressed… I was getting real hungry after going to a book launch this evening… and just wanted something light. So headed with a friend to this great diner called The Tulip – and I had the turkey… came with stuffing, potatoes, sauce… All I had was the turkey itself, the gravy (you couldn’t remove it LOL), and half the small portion of potatoes. I was surprised as my resilience. And it felt good. Day five, and I’m very much on track.
